The ODNC Luncheon Seminar Series Presents
Agile Development & Test Driven Design in Visual Studio 2005

You are invited to join the Ottawa .NET Community for another installment of its Luncheon Seminar series. Pack your lunch and join us for 90 minutes of valuable instructions on how to get the most out of key .NET technologies!

Agile Development & Test Driven Design in Visual Studio 2005:
The Agile Software Development process is a key component of the Microsoft Solution Framework which ships with Visual Studio 2005. The Visual Studio 2005 IDE contains a number of new tools which support Agile processes including a Unit Testing Framework that makes it easier to do test driven design and a Team Build system to support Continuous Integration.
In this 90 minute presentation, David Buck will explain what Agile development is all about and how it differs from traditional software development methodologies. He will then demonstrate Test Driven Design in Visual Studio 2005 by developing a simple application in C# using the Unit Testing Framework that is built into the IDE.

About the Speaker:
David Buck is Director of Agile Development and Training at XIA Systems. David has spent the last 12 years teaching object oriented programming and mentoring on object oriented projects. David has been teaching and promoting Agile software methods since 1993 (before such methods were even called Agile) and began doing Test Driven Design since 1998. Working with XIA Systems, David develops and delivers training courses on object oriented techniques and agile development and assists companies trying to adopt agile practices.
