The Ottawa .NET Community Presents
MCTS 70-528 Study Group Information Meeting
Let’s fast forward to December 2008 for a moment. You’re sitting down to write the MCTS 70-528 Exam so that you can get it out of the way before Christmas madness takes over your life. You spend the next 2 hours working your way through a maze of grueling questions. You make it to the end of the exam and you hold your breath as your score is being tallied. Time seems to stand still. The memory of all those hours spent preparing for the exam loop through your head. The fear of failure hangs over you like a dark thundercloud. And then, to the chorus of trumpets, a message flashes across the screen; Congratulations! You have passed the 70-528 Exam with Flying Colors!!!
OK. Now step back into the present and think about what it is you had to do to get that certification under our belt. Bottom line: you had to commit to getting it done; you had to make it a priority; and you had to put lots of time and effort into mastering the required material. That said, this is no easy undertaking and if you’re like most of us, you can use all the help you can get to stay focused and on track. Enter the Ottawa .NET Community’s Study Group.
The Ottawa .NET Community has successfully hosted a number of study groups aimed at helping developers master the material associated with Microsoft’s Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS) exams. Our study groups take a peer-to-peer approach in mastering the required skills and all participants are expected to take part in preparing and presenting the material being worked on.
The 70-528 Study Group (Web Based Client Development) will meet weekly from May 26th through to June 30th, break for the summer, and continue on from September 8th through to December 8th. CTE Solutions currently sponsors our study groups by allowing us to use their training facilities at Holland Cross. Financial costs associated with the Study Group are minimal (pre-paid certification exam and a small admin fee to cover miscellaneous expenses) but the workload is significant (4-5 hours per week) and only those that are ready to commit to it should apply.
If you are interested in learning more about the Ottawa .NET Community’s 70-528 Study Group then we invite you to join us at next Monday’s Study Group Info Session. This session will provide you with a detailed breakdown on how our study groups work and whether or not they are for you. Please RSVP for this event via email to events@OttawaCommunity.Net .
