RAD Versus SOA or TDD or DDD or ORM...

The number of three letter acronyms being thrown around in the software industry is mind boogling. If they are not using an acronymn they are creating a new methodolgy or term for the same old thing.

I am relatively new to the world of Microsoft programming coming from a Sybase background. I was mentored using Covergent Engineering development principles. This led me to believe that Businesses and application developers and application architects and users and technicians could all talk the same language and actually understand what everybody was saying.

I just finished reading this article by Steve Bellaware about TechEd in Orlando and application architects. It is not for the faint of heart but I believe that it outlines a number of issues facing application and enterprise architects.
