Here is a screen shot of the view state decoder I was talking about last night.

Unfortunately I'm unable to find the actual download to get the tool to play with it. But the meat of this posting is, be careful what you put into the view state as it's very possible for people to snoop in on the values. In other words, don't go putting your connection string in there! :> |

Here is a great article on "All you wanted to know about ViewState" - the author delivers.
It appears that the ViewState Decoder that PH talked about has been pulled. It looks like the basics worked, but people wanted more and the author said #^$%&* it.

| Ya, I noticed it was pulled as well. :< But the link had a nice screen cap so the idea was to warn people if you work a little bit you can snoop. You found a great link, thanks for the heads up! :> |

| Actually - simply googling it rendered the result - new website & download links to decoder v2.2 & v.1.1 amongst other tools. Here is the result:
