Do you need the Northwind mdf? Posted: 29 Sep 07 11:53 AM (N/A) |

If you're like me and need the Northwind.mdf and .ldf files for the labs, they can be found here.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/thankyou.aspx?familyId=e719ecf7-9f46-4312-af89-6ad8702e4e6e&displayLang=en
It will download SQL2000SampleDb.msi which you run and it will install a C:\SQL Server 2000 Sample Databases directory where you have the two files and the instnwnd.sql you will need to run. It looks like it'll create the client data and other things required as well.
The thing I found a TAD frustrating is the last bullet on the Before You Begin section says if you don't have Northwind, just look on the CD for Setting up Sample Databases Read Me file on the CD, is it just me or could anyone else not find it neither? (hence this posting just in case you're like me and can't find the Northwind db).
Thanks. |
