.NET Windows Software Engineer

Type of Assignment: Contract, Full-time
Length of Assignment: 3+ months
Job Description:
The .NET Windows Software Engineer will be a key contributor in the development of a mobile solution involving:
• C# and Windows forms application programming for Windows XP and Vista deployment
• Interaction with local SQL Server Compact Edition database
• Transmitting locally cached information to a central server via web services calls
Mandatory Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience in software development for database applications in a .NET environment
• Previous experience creating database driven Windows applications
• Proficiency with C#, SQL, Web Service invocation and Visual Studio
• Ability to express software design using UML sequence diagrams
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Subversion
• Familiarity with installation tools such as InstallShield, Wise Installer, etc.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• Holds a valid Canadian passport
Special Conditions:
• Must be available to start immediately
• Travel will be required, less than 25%
