Length of Assignment: Contract to Permanent or Permanent
Job Description:
Acts as Technical Leader on selected projects and leads/coordinates all applications development activities. Activities include, but are not limited to, participation in requirements identification and feasibility analysis, generation of technical solutions and design, coding, testing, quality assurance, implementation and all supporting project artifacts and documentation.
Co-ordinates all development activities related to system design, construction, implementation and/or enhancement and serves as the primary contact between the Program Area users and IT staff for the design, development, testing and implementation phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
Mandatory Qualifications:
• 6+ years of IT experience in the generation and implementation of a technical solution for complex, multi-user information systems
• 4+ years experience in a senior technical role
• Web-based development expertise in UNIX-AIX, Oracle RDBMS,9i and up and .NET Technologies.
• Significant work experience with JSP, JAVA, J2EE, J2EE Patterns, HTML, JAVASCRIPT, PL/SQL; C#, UML, Use Case Tools
• Development expertise in XML, Struts Presentation Layer Framework, ETL Processes and ETL Tools
Education Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent experience/ education in Computer Sciences or related discipline

• This position can be based out of Ottawa or Toronto
